Assistance Games

Play Together

We know it can be a daunting world to get invovled in, so here is our bluffer's guide to getting started with video games.

Assistance games are a special type of co-operative play. They enable a second player to help out the main player with difficult sections or secondary functions. This has become popular in casual games where the two players may be of different abilities. Some games enable a more able player to take over using a second controler if the first player gets stuck. Others enable the stronger player to protect the new comer, or for the newcomer to get invovled while the expert plays the game.

This works well in familiy settings when parents and children (or siblings of different ages) are playing together. This is usually provided in a local and shared screen multiplayer set-up.
